Tell your Representative: Vote NO on S2930/A4045! Protect the Open Public Records Act!
New Jersey State Representatives
A dangerous bill spearheaded by State Senator Paul Sarlo and Assembly Member Joe Danielsen (S2930/A4045) which would make sweeping changes to the Open Public Records Act and severely undermine our ability to access public records is being rushed through the New Jersey Legislature.
What's even more concerning is that this bill is being fast-tracked for no reason. There is no urgency for the rush unless the Legislature intentionally does not want the public to give input. Any extensive reforms require a thoughtful and deliberate process that provides labor unions and other stakeholders with appropriate time to review and give input.
This bill could be voted on the Senate and Assembly floor as early as Thursday, March 14.
We have to move fast to stop this bill. Please take action now and urge your Representatives to vote NO on S2930/A4045.
