New York Maximus Call Center Workers Demand Higher Wages

Ilene Baylinson, Maximus General Manager, U.S. Services Segment

We, the workers of New York Call Center Workers United stand in solidarity to demand a fair, just, and equitable salary increase that includes annual raises for all.

As workers for the New York State of Health (NYSOH) employed by Maximus, we dedicate ourselves to providing essential services and support to millions of New Yorkers to ensure they have the health care coverage they need. Low wages mean higher turnover, staff shortages, and difficulty in recruiting and retaining skilled staff. Over the last few years, we saw the cost of living skyrocket and the demand for more work constantly increase yet our pay remains the same. Meanwhile, Maximus gave its CEO, Bruce Caswell, a raise of over $1 million last year. That is just wrong.

We need more than PRAISE! We need a RAISE!

Workers across New York State are working together to demand a raise. New York State Call Center Workers United needs a starting wage of $30 an hour to support ourselves and our families. Sign on and add your name to our fight if you agree!
