Lumen, invest in your workers, customers, and community! Internal Mobilization
Lumen Management

From programming and testing to installation and repair, our CO customers depend on us to provide critical services to keep their home and business networks online. Yet, as Lumen employees we severely lack the resources needed to serve our customers.
We and our customers suffer due to surpluses/layoffs, strict metrics, constantly changing technology and our lack of training. New products are often rolled out hastily and we are expected to make things work in real time. Despite customer demand, Lumen continues to lay off workers, leaving our work groups short staffed and faced with never-ending mandatory overtime to meet productivity metrics.
According to Lumen, our “mission is to deliver amazing customer experiences with networking, cloud and security solutions that power next-gen business applications.” But that lies contrary to their actions. Lumen’s lack of investments in us as workers, the plant, and our customers demonstrates Lumen puts profits over people. It is our hard work and dedication that makes this company profitable. Lumen generated a net income of $5.7 billion in 2020, while CEO Storey’s total compensation is equal to making over $8,000 an hour.
Yes, I join my coworkers in demanding management make Lumen a place for all of us to work and thrive!
Adequate and timely training to do our work
An end to the 3-year mandatory overtime
A complete halt of unnecessary lay-offs and to rehire the positions that were unjustly taken away
Face to face meeting between upper management and CWA Local 7777
