We are Sticking With Our Union

We are sticking with our union. We know that in the long run, it’s better to have a voice at work, and that we are stronger together.

Our union contract has significant improvements, such as

  • Higher pay
  • Seniority based Scheduling
  • Seniority based PTO Selection
  • More affordable health benefits
  • Guaranteed scheduled pay raises
  • Unlimited sick days
  • No layoff clause
  • Employment Service Commitment - Job Offer Guarantee
  • A grievance procedure to dispute unfair treatment
Just recently, management has laid off SSLs across the country. Only union members were offered new jobs. Everyone else found themselves on the unemployment line.

Now, it is a fact that some of us have lost some vacation days. They are quickly gained back with more seniority, but this is a fact we acknowledge. But being in a union means we can fight for more in our next contract.

A few coworkers have teamed up with the extremist group “National Right to Work,” to try and trick us into giving up our union.

It wont work. We see the writing on the wall. AT&T is downsizing, outsourcing, and increasing layoffs. We are sticking with our union to protect our jobs.
