New Jersey runs because we do—we, the public service workers of New Jersey, are what keeps this state going strong.

But now, in the final days of Fiscal Year 2026 budget negotiations for the state, the NJ Legislature is trying to shift hundreds of millions in healthcare costs onto us—breaking our contract and trying to balance the budget on our backs.

Let’s be clear: undermining our contract is an attack on every public sector worker in New Jersey, and an attack on our unions.

We’ve sacrificed and stepped up time and again to keep this state running. It’s time that our elected leaders do the same for us. They must respect our contract and stop cost-shifting insurance hikes to CWA members.
