The Trump administration and some Republicans in Congress are ramping up their attack on independent local news.

The House of Representatives passed a bill killing nearly all federal funding for local independent public TV and radio stations, including PBS and NPR. It is now under consideration by the Senate.

Cutting off federal funding for public TV and radio stations will have a devastating impact on the millions of Americans who rely on them and on the CWA members who work at these stations.
